dear Lilah,
Spring is coming up! Time to bring your space to life with beautiful pops of color. As an interior designer, I’m all about making a home beautiful while staying on a budget. I have the perfect budget-friendly and free spring decor ideas to add some festive spring touches.
1.homemade Floral Arrangement
A great way to add pops of color throughout a space is to add floral arrangements. Making your own is a lot more cost effective than going to an actual florist. Whether you use faux floral picks or real flowers, you can never go wrong with adding them to your space.

The best flowers for the best price can be found at Trader Joe’s. With real flowers, you can have the enjoyment of caring for the flowers and seeing them blossom. You can rotate your flowers in and out to give your space a refreshed look.
2.Floral Curtain Accents
Take your floral arrangements, and space them out throughout your space to get the most value out of them. Create your own floral pick by snipping a small amount of your flowers and placing them in your curtains. It’s such a small and simple idea, but adds such a cute little statement to the room.
3.Decorative Pillows
Decorating for spring means switching to seasonal pillows! To save money and space, try to get pillow covers instead of a whole new pillow. They are cheaper and easier to store. Decor pillows can really make a large space like a bed, couch, or chair pop. A nice floral pillow design will add a lot of interest to a space and tie the whole room together.

4.Spring Tablescape
This is my favorite spring decorating idea. Creating a seasonal tablescape is the epitome of elegance for your home. No need to buy fancy flatware, cups, tablecloth, or centerpiece decor. Use what you have laying around. A simple neutral tablecloth that goes with every season, paired with your current flatware, and flowers in a glass cup will make the space come to life.

The star of the show is adding beautiful plate chargers paired with a statement dinnerware plate. Seasonal tablescapes are great because they act as decor while being functional for eating.
5. seasonal Spring Dish Towel
A simple and sweet way to add a pop of color to the bathroom or kitchen is to display a spring hand or dish towel. Adding a patterned or colorful towel will help bring a large space such as a kitchen or bathroom together.

This blue toile dish towel is great for different seasons, not just spring. Toile or any floral motif is a great spring pattern to look for. The color combination of blue + yellow + green, purple + orange + yellow, or pink + green are perfect spring color combinations to use throughout a space.
BONUS: Free Artwork
Change out your framed art prints every season. Etsy sells the best art prints and digital TV art that is usually $5 or less. If you don’t want to buy or print out artwork, there is a lot of free art for the TV.
Frame TV’s have been all the rave the last few years, but they are pricey. For a free alternative, search, “Art for TV” on YouTube. A lot of beautiful digital backgrounds will pop up for you to choose. There are a lot of seasonal options which are perfect for the springtime.
Having one big art piece on your TV will brighten up a space by adding interest to the walls. Make sure your TV setting is set to where it doesn’t go to sleep, or else the TV art will disappear.
These are the best simple spring decor ideas on a budget. Elegance doesn’t have to be a heavy price tag. There are many affordable ways to sprinkle touches of spring throughout your home. I would love to hear your thoughts and if you have any recommendations yourself.
